The August evening has space for 16 children and yoga instructor, Robin Thompson will teach children various poses like mountain, frog and tree pose and connect their bodies with nature.

Kids between age four and eleven will hiss like a cobra, root like a tree and learn downward dog at a kids-only yoga night taking place at Halifax Yoga on Sat. Aug. 9th.

“It’ll be a fun and inspiring, uppity evening,” says yoga instructor Robin Thompson. “Kids will come home tired and parents will have had a night to go for supper … or simply take some time for themselves,” says Thompson, a mother of two daughters ages eight and 11-years-old.

“A lot of kid’s parents go to yoga and they’re curious about what it is … I want to give them an environment where we make it fun for them,” she says. Thompson has her 200 hour yoga teacher training degree, is a preschool teacher and instructs children’s Fun and Fitness classes.
